Description
Listed in: Parks State

Smelt Sands State Recreation Site is a great place to walk if your staying in the Yachats area on the Oregon coast.

It is easy to miss this park and it is on the north end of Yachats. Small exit off the highway so small RV's only, if you have a large RV, it is not recommended to pull out.

Be sure to walk the trail along the ocean next to the hotels in the area. Whale watching along with other wildlife in the area are present. This is also a fishermans delight but watch out for the ocean.
